When you really stop to think about where the food you eat daily comes from, do you know? In an increasingly globalized world, our food production is increasingly in the hands of large corporations. What happens when those corporations, or their distribution networks experience an interruption? Currently Nova Scotia produces less than 5% of the food we consume.

At Grass Roots Up, we believe that Nova Scotians can be a part of their food production and food security. By participating in and supporting local agriculture, we can help ensure quality food continues to be produced for Nova Scotians, by Nova Scotians.
